What is the Motorsport feedback site?
The Motorsport Australia feedback site is available to all club office bearers and available from the Member Portal by clicking the Feedback tab on the left menu.
Motorsport Australia has several member facing IT systems in continual development, these currently include: Motorsport Mobile app, Member Portal and the Event Entry web app.
The feedback site is a place where members can contribute toward the development of the member apps in the form of new feature requests, voting and commenting on existing feature request, and reporting any bugs discovered.
The feedback site is split into three sections
Top-left is where members can contribute feature requests and review other feature requests.
Top-right is where members report any bugs they find in the apps.
Centre is the road map containing three stages of the development cycle; planned, in progress, and live.
Motorsport Australia values the feedback from members and the number of votes informs the development team of the priority of each planned feature.
Feature requests
Members can contribute feature requests for any of the apps offered by Motorsport Australia by giving a Short descriptive title and additional details on the idea.
All feature requests are reviewed by the development team and available for other members to comment and vote on.
These comments help the development team get a better understanding of the requirements.
Popular feature requests move to the top of the development board helping the development team to prioritise the feature releases.
Bug reports
If you discover a bug in any system you can report it via the Feedback site.
By entering a short descriptive title and as much as possible about the bug, the development team understand the issue and are able to fix issues quickly.
Providing screenshots is also very useful.
Roadmap
The roadmap is displayed in the centre of the the feedback site and combines all feature requests into their three final stages; Planned, In Progress, and Live.
Feature requests are sorted and displayed in the order of votes they have.
Clicking each feature request display more details including any expected release dates, and a history of comments from all contributors.
